Microblading healing process stages — from bold, dark brows to scabbing, flaking, and final healed natural results.

What Is the Healing Process for Microblading?

Healing takes about 4–6 weeks and happens in phases. Clients should expect changes in color, texture, and feel during this time.

Days 1–2: Fresh & Bold

• Brows look very dark, bold, and can be slightly puffy or red.

• They may feel sensitive or tight — this is normal right after pigment is applied.

Days 3–5: Darkening & Tenderness

• The brows can appear even darker as the pigment reacts with oxygen.

• The skin may still feel tight or a bit sore.

Days 5–10: Flaking & Itching

• Small scabs form, and flakes start to shed. During this time, brows may look patchy or even lighter.

• Itching is common — but scratching or picking can remove pigment.

Days 11–28: Color Comes Back

• As old skin sheds, fresh skin reveals the pigment underneath. At first, the color may look faint, light, or uneven.

• Brows gradually start to feel and look more like normal skin again.

Days 28–42: Fully Healed Brows

• The pigment stabilizes and settles into the skin. The color looks richer, strokes are more visible, and the final healed result shows.

• At this stage, brows are considered healed, though most clients will need a touch-up to perfect them.

✅ Final Note: A 6-week touch-up is highly recommended to refine the shape, adjust color if needed, and ensure long-lasting results.
